Bloodwood

Not an overly spectacular photo, just love the colour of the tree. Click it, then zoom it.

Industry

It's weird, I've been resisting posting this one for some reason. No idea why. It's actually quite stunning, but something wouldn't let me do it. So here ya go, against my better judgement, apparently.

Randomness

The first one is a fraction historical for here. This is the main water supply for Brisbane, Australia. This is the first release of water from the dam in more than ten years from excessive drought.

This was taken at a rustic .... I guess, shopping complex in Capalaba, near Brisbane.

Wivenhoe Flowers

The missus took the first one while we were driving over the dam. Love it.

Weathered

NEVER been able to get a picture of this tree that does it justice. This kinda comes close.

Platinum Sunset

Loved the unusual colours in this one.

Fungi

I like the top the most outta the two, but the trees look like they're about to fall over. It's on a hill and I made the branch parallel to the ground, not respective to the trees. lolz. Pretty though.

Smokey Sunset

Took this one somewhere where I shouldn't be taking photos, but who am I to let protocol get in the road of a good image?. If you see anything that identifies location, let me know.

Anyhoo ... the 'cloud' is actually smoke from a scrub fire. I loved the sun diving into the smoke and then behind the building. Man being to blame for the smoke and the building 'ruining' the sunset. Actually really pretty.

Frame

Been experimenting with the phone camera I think this is a cool style. Sometimes the red is a fraction dominant and ruins the feel you're after, but with this its subtlety is just right. Tell me you love the 35mm frame effect. I think it makes the image look like what exactly a photo is; a a frame out of the film of life. Kinda cool. lol As always, click on the image for a better view.

F-16

At the Amberley Airshow in '08. Half tempted to show the original just to show my photoshop skills. lol Screw it, I will. The unfortunate thing about not being part of the Airforce you don't get to see the aircraft without clowns in or around the photo and without tape and shit keeping people away. Bottom is the original.

It's a Singapore Airforce F-16, as well.

Curiosity

Taffy the horse watched the birth of the baby goat with intense curiosity for the entire process. This was right after the birth.

MR P. Bear.

Playing with centralising the focus in this one.

Polar Bear

This guy we met at Seaworld on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. S/he was playing with the carpet and a BRIGHT yellow buoy for around 30 minutes. These two I like the most, I might post some more later.

Reclamation

I took this photo at Redbank Shopping Plaza in Queensland, Australia, not far from Brisbane, on the top story of a carpark. I worked there and stumbled over this little fella one day. I found it as is, living in a crack in the concrete. Amazing find. I took it on my video camera as an image, so this size is actually the only copy I've got of it. I'm playing with photoshop with the black and white and foreground stuff.

Fig bird

This is a secondary blog that'll I'm going to use for my images. My MAIN BLOG IS HERE but it has a white background and I think images look better with a black one. All images on here were taken by me.

This little guy is a Fig Bird we found in a paddock at home.
